Consultation has concluded

Mankato Area Public Schools (MAPS) is providing opportunities to engage the school community and others to come together and discuss the use of school resource officers (SROs) in its schools within the district.

A series of in-person engagement sessions for school and local community members are planned. Since capacity is limited for these events, a virtual option is provided for those who want to participate. MAPS' cultural liaisons will be present during engagement sessions, which will be facilitated by Equity Specialist Stacy Wells in partnership with facilitators from the Greater Mankato Diversity Council and Mankato YWCA. The public is invited to participate in the sessions.

If you're unable to attend an engagement session, we invite you to take a short survey. This input will provide valuable feedback on SRO use in the district.

We will be taking feedback through November 23, 2020.
