Consultation has concluded.
At 6 p.m., Monday, July 6, the Mankato City Council will hold a special session to discuss an emergency ordinance requiring face coverings be worn inside places of public accommodation.
Complete the survey and quick poll to provide feedback. Feedback is due by noon, Monday, July 6.
If preferred, public testimony may be provided at the public meeting. Sign up using the public comment process. Submittal deadline is noon, Monday, July 6.
Information about face coverings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
The Centers for Disease Control recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies).
Wear a face covering to help keep your neighbors safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Face coverings can help with preventing your germs from infecting others – especially in situations where you may spread the virus without symptoms.
Wearing a face covering does not protect you from others who may spread the virus. So, whether or not you wear a cloth covering, you still need to wash your hands frequently, cover your cough, and practice physical distancing by keeping at least 6 feet of space between people.
