Consultation has concluded. Information will be reviewed.
UPDATE: Additional playground equipment has been selected for Bienapfl Park, 1401 Fourth Ave., and is expected to be installed by the end of October. Resident input helped determine playground equipment, which features a spinning climber and expanded swing set with belt and infant seats. The existing climber will be relocated in the park, and soccer nets will be added. Other enhancements include accessible access to playground equipment and shelter improvements.
Estimated costs for the playground equipment is $100,000, funded by Community Development Block Grant Funds. Updates to Bienapfl Park were identified as a 2020 project in Mankato’s Community Investment Plan as part of the parks capital replacement fund. Work is being done in conjunction with Germania Park street reconstruction and other infrastructure projects.
