Help Develop an Affordable Housing Action Plan

The City of Mankato is developing an Affordable Housing Action Plan to help determine affordable housing needs in the community. Public input is an important part of the plan's development. The community is invited to provide input by sharing ideas and completing a survey. Residents are also encouraged to ask questions.

Topics focuses include homelessness, senior housing, rental housing, home ownership options, housing preservation and other housing needs. In addition, an open house, will be held in the Mankato Room, first floor of the Intergovernmental Center, 10 Civic Center Plaza:

• Tuesday, October 11 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Affordable housing is an important initiative in Mankato’s Strategic Plan and can enhance quality of life, attract new residents, retain current residents, have positive economic impacts and create equity.
